Hi, I'm Zac. I'm studying Software Engineering at UWA.
I am currently working on a custom LMS for a computer science course. I've found it fun to apply the principles I learnt from entrepreneurship to the project. Thinking about a teacher's workflow, how they "load a solution" into their brains and mark a bunch of students at the same time - I'm happy that the software that I'm building can help teachers in their day-to-day operations.
In my free time I like to play chess, read books and surf the web. My two news sources are x.com and hackernews, and the odd video on youtube. I tell my friends about the weird shit I read (hopefully they're not overly annoyed yet).
This year I plan to train hard to land a good summer internship. For me, that means honing my data structures and algorithms knowledge, improving my technical communication skills and being ok with talking about myself (don't like the attention..?).
I'm learning how to learn and trying to build unified mental model of everything I've learnt so far.
Recently I've been exploring AI in Education, and working on creating tools specifically designed for teachers.
